During my first office visit with Dr. Saffer in June 2011, through efficient analysis diagnosed completely my foot problem (infection of right foot), had me admitted to East Cooper Medical Center and performed surgery within 24 hours. I was released from the hospital and sent home to recover. He saved my right foot, leg, and life literally. Dr. Saffer and staff are clearly thorough and skilled while providing medical treatment. Dr. Saffer always asks “How are you doing.” He ensures I know when my next treatment is scheduled and provides prescriptions for antibiotic gel and other medial equipment as needed. He cares about his patients and listens to his patients. Dr. Saffer: “Thank you for all you’ve done and continue to care for and heal your patients.” - Daniel Treiber (Charleston)

I can get appointment that fit in my schedule. What I really like is that I am seen pretty close to my scheduled time. I had surgery for arthritis great toes December 2013. Dr. Saffer did x-rays and examined my foot and determined I had artthritis of both great toe joints. I am very active in both golf, exercise, and bowling. Dr. Saffer explained surgical options and elected to clean out both great toe joints. Dr. Saffer called me at home to check on me (twice). Dr. Saffer followed me closely and reeled me in to make sure my feet were healing. My feet feel great and I am back to bowling, golf, and exercise. I like getting x-rays right in the office. Dr. Saffer shows you the x-ray and explains what he sees. When I call the office with a question Sally returns the call quckly! I have already recommended Carolina Foot Specialists to friends and family. -Robin Moyer (Mount Pleasant)

After 7 months of trying to heel plantar fasciitis on my own I decided to get help from Dr. Brown. After explaining to me what caused plantar fasciitis and showing me daily moves that aggravate it I realized I should of come to see him the first month! In a couple of months I was running again! I am training for a 1/2 marathon now and when my foot "warns' me it needs a rest, I listen and remember the advise given to me by Dr. Brown. The entire staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I look forward to my Bi-monthly visitis. -Wendy Little (Charleston)

Dr. Brown was very patient, helpful, and was able to target the source of the pain (Achilles Tendonitis). He recommended a treatment therapy that had me walking without severe pain in two weeks. Friendly staff that was always able to see me within a day of making an appointment.- Ed Zayas (Charleston)

I wanted to say thank you to Dr. Saffer. I could not walk without painon my first visit on Nov. 6th, 2014 and this totally derailed my marathon training. I had my 2nd visit on Nov. 20th and was able to complete my training. I finished the Kiawah Island Marathon (my first Marathon) on Dec. 13th under 4 hours. Thanks again for your help and for not letting all my hard work and training be for nothing. Kind regards- Jeff Hickey (Mt. Pleasant)

Reason for visit: Bunion pain. Everyone in this office has been so friendly. I feel more comfortable coming here than other Doctor's offices. Dr. Saffer really listened to my problems and simply fixed it (Bunion surgery 2013). Could not be happier with my experience here. Thank you! I also appreciated the multiple reminders about upcoming appointments. I have already recommended Dr. Saffer to friends and family.- Shelly Deahart (Mount Pleasant)

Reason for visit: Severe foot pain when walking. Dr. Brown welcomed me on my first visit as if I was his only patient. I am pain free for the first time in years. I followed Dr. Brown's instructions and after only three visits was pain free for the first time in years. To ensure I remained pain free Dr. Brown gave me clear instructions moving forward. I never dreamed I would have so much success in such a short time. Dr. Brown's professionalism and patience is unsurpassed. In fact he should teach physicians how to interact with patients...... especially treat them as humans and not a chart. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Brown to friends and family.- Jaqueline Adamson (Charleston)

Reason for visit: Bad diabetic sore on big toe. Dr. Saffer saw me as a patient knowing I did not have any insurance. He gave me great service and treated me like he cared. The service he provided in the wound care was outstanding. I have worked with several other doctors and they gave me the rush job to get me in and out, not near the personal service that Dr. Saffer has offered me. I would recommend him to anyone!!! - David Nielsen (Mount Pleasant)

Reason for visit: Plantar fasciitis over a year. Dr. Saffer quickly confirmed the diagnosis and gave me multiple ways to treat my plantar fasciits. Over the next month, my pain completely went away! After a single visit with Dr. Saffer I started to notice improvement!- Andrew Snyder (Mount Pleasant)

Reason for visit: Chronic plantar fasciitis. I am a professional baskeball instructor so my feet are extremely important. Dr. Saffer did a thorough evaluation and came up with a plan of action. Ultimately surgery was required, but we exhausted all other options first. Right after surgery Dr. Saffer called to check-in on me....After business hours from his house. The professionalism between Dr. Saffer, his assistants, is 2nd to none. The main difference is the genuine concern for their patients. You are not a number and they don't "file in patients" and run through quickly. Every visit all employees have asked about job, travel, family, etc... More Dr. offices can learn from Carolina Foot Specialists on how to treat patients. If anything comes up with feet, Dr. Saffer and Carolina Foot Specialists is the first people I call.-James Lee (Mount Pleasant and Professional basketball national instructor).

The office, Sally (the receptionist) and Courtney (the nurse) are really great gals. Sally is always professional and always tries to find an appt. time that works for me. Courtney is friendly, professional, and does her job with such cheerfulness, you are immediately put at ease. Dr. Saffer is very calm and always explains the entire procedure so that there are no suprises. He has a light touch with the anesthetic and always monitors your response to treatment. He explained the treatment, recovery, and any problems that could arise before he started. Also, the office is VERY CLEAN! This is the second toenail I had removed by him, I will definitely use him again. -Holy K (Mt. Pleasant)
